seaweed, paradise & US hospitality...

giant seaweed washed in from the Pacific

Miramar , Half Moon Bay - one of the most beautiful places I've been too
Our hotel on the left and two other beach house all 50ft from the beach.  Notice the figure coming from the roof on the one on the right.  Our room overlooked their garden which was obviously kept by artists.

I thought St Ives in Cornwall was the best place to live near the beach but this is now top of my list.

Miramar catch of the day served with a huge amount of US hospitality
We met a retired US army officer and his wife who insisted he took us to try steamed clams in a nearby restaurant.  The steamed clams were delicious but my "catch of the day", was perfect!  Fabulous food accompanied by fine wine, Sandemans Ruby Port (Pat, if you read this we toasted your health - wherever you are) and US hospitality!  A sincere thank you to our hosts.  It was a fantastic ending to a wonderful day.
